Foundations for Outstanding Leadership Programme

 

This programme draws on much of the content, principles and methodology of the original and hugely successful Towards Outstanding Leadership Programme, though packaged in a less intensive, non-residential format

Whilst remaining highly appropriate for experienced leaders who struggle with the time commitment to attend the core programme, FFOLP has proven especially beneficial for those with more limited direct leadership experience and/or little or no previous leadership development, but with clear potential to develop in the future.

 

Participants will enhance their understanding of what it takes to be the very best leader they can be, and develop some of the practical skills required both to lead a high performing team and to develop an improved culture of leadership and high performance within their organisation.

 

How does it work?

The programme comprises 5 one day modules at intervals of approximately 2 months. Indicative content of each of these modules is described briefly below:

 

Module One: Connecting with fellow participants; What is Leadership?; Understanding & developing Emotional Intelligence; Alternative leadership styles

Module Two: Effective Prioritisation; Direction – collaboration – delegation – empowerment; Coaching, listening and feedback skills; Appreciative Inquiry;

Module Three: Purposeful leadership Inspiration & Motivation; Leading your team; Leading through change; Stakeholder relationships.

Module Four: Managing performance; Effective collaboration; Conflict in the workplace; Holding challenging conversations

Module Five: Enhancing personal influence; Your future as a leader; Personal strength inventory; Leading other leaders; Sustaining progress and development planning

 

In addition, participants will undertake the Strengthscope 360° leadership profiling which identifies the "standout strengths" for each participant and provides the opportunity for their colleagues to offer feedback in a comprehensive report.

Each participant will also benefit from two individual coaching sessions. The first, which includes an exploration of the 360° profiling report, takes place between modules 1 and 2. The second takes place after the final module and helps the participant to pull together all the learning from the process and consider how to maintain momentum for greater personal and organisational impact.

 

What is the investment?

We are delighted that the Foundations for Outstanding Leadership Programme is supported by the Society and College of Radiographers

This means that places can be offered at the significantly reduced cost of only £2,000 per participant (plus VAT)

This covers all materials, refreshments at the venue, 360° profiling, five modules, and two coaching sessions
