Maggie Smith

Maggie works with organisations from all sectors delivering coaching and sessions around leadership, personal and team strengths, resilience and innovation and creativity.

Maggie’s an associate of the Institute for Employment Studies where she delivers sessions on Positive Psychology at Work, Neuroscience at Work, Personal Resilience and Building Strengths at Work. She’s also an associate of the Centre for Charity Effectiveness at Cass Business School and co-delivers the inspiring outstanding leadership series as well as coaching on their New Chief Executive and Aspiring Chief Executive Programmes.

Before starting her own coaching business, Maggie also worked at The Work Foundation. Her role as Head of Events based in the advocacy team meant that she often worked across the organisation and with colleagues in research and consultancy including the Leadership Programme team. Whilst at The Work Foundation, Maggie worked on a number of high profile events featuring political leaders – David Cameron, Tony Blair, Nick Clegg, Gordon Brown, Alastair Darling – business leaders – running events for Tesco, ASDA, AXA and Adobe. This followed a number of years working in hotel and conference centre management.

Maggie holds a diploma in Executive Coaching from the Academy of Executive Coaching which is accredited by the International Coach Federation (of which she is a member), the European Mentoring and Coaching Council and Middlesex University.

In her spare time, she is studying Psychology with the Open University.
